This was a unique piece of work for me since it forced my colleague (Richard Roberts) and I to embark on a steep learning curve in terms of historical periods, characters and battles as well as a deep-end dive into the vernacular of jewels and stones used to make some of the gems (excuse the pun) found in this catalogue.
